ARTIST STATEMENT
I use pictorial space to represent thought; shape and texture allow different pathways or present problematic blockages, and the connections between different dimensions become a labyrinth within the mind.

I aim to force the viewer into new ways of thinking about space, to feel unsettled by it and to question it. Why is the space like that? How am I connected to it? Is there anything beyond it? Why does it exist at all? Pictorial space is not always clear, and often does not make immediate sense – you are perplexed and exposed in the landscape of a painting.
